It's a beautiful face and the scrollwork strands of hair give a wonderful fluidity to it.

i was somewhat disappointed with the shading i got out of the charcoal. It was really hard to get an accurate effect of the hair fading away on the white paper. I think i want to do this same portrait again but with dry brush in oil just to show the difference in control each medium gives you
